Like so many of you, all of us at BCCS are grief-stricken and deeply angered by the death of George Floyd and the many others who have died before him as a result of systemic inequality. These acts of blatant disregard for human life, human rights, and humanity, have no place in our community, our country, our homes.
At BCCS we have always been extraordinarily proud of our workplace and client inclusivity. Every day we actively nurture and live the belief that we are all created equal.
Racism is not new. And it can no longer be ignored. It is time for fundamental, meaningful change. We urge all Americans to do better. Every person in our country has the right to be treated justly and fairly.
We must give peace and justice a permanent home in our hearts.
We must all be part of the changes that have to happen. We welcome the participation, creativity and dedication of our staff, clients and partners in our daily work to create justice and keep finding new ways to make our society better.
Change is good.
