Nami Delaware Inspiring Hope Educational Conference

NAMI Delaware will host its annual conference, Inspiring Hope on Wednesday, October 5th, 2016 at Dover Downs Hotel and Casino (Dover, DE). The conference focuses on the future of mental illnesses – what is coming in the form of treatment, research and discoveries that have been made, and what we as service providers as well as peers & loved ones can look forward to.

Last year, approximately 350 medical professionals, community service providers, criminal justice professionals, law enforcement officers, counselors, mental health consumers and their loved ones were in attendance. This year, keynote speaker Major Sam Cochran (ret.) will discuss the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) model as it relates to the law enforcement officers that receive the training and the community who plays a large part in ensuring the success of CIT.

The ultimate goal is to provide superior information that conference attendees can bring back to their practices, research, or own recovery. This is an opportunity to reach the majority of the mental health community in Delaware.
