Beginning Monday, June 15, 2020, the BCCS Newark Treatment Center resumes new Methadone client intakes every Monday. The Newark location, located at 24 Brookhill Dr. in Newark, DE, is already accepting new Suboxone intakes on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays.
New Methadone intakes are also being accepted at the BCCS Lancaster Avenue Treatment Center on Mondays and Tuesdays, and at the BCCS Milford Treatment Center on Thursdays. Both the Lancaster Avenue and Milford locations accept new Suboxone intakes on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays as well.
To limit the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus) and maintain alignment with the evolving guidelines, requirements, and recommendations from the Governor of Delaware and federal agencies, BCCS is adjusting programs, services, and practices to protect clients and staff. Your BCCS experience may be a little different for a while – we will do our best to keep you completely informed. We will continue to reevaluate the situations and our processes, and make every effort to reestablish normal care in our community as soon as it is appropriate. Thank you for your understanding and support. BCCS has implemented:
- Symptom screenings for all individuals entering BCCS facilities.Individuals that screen positive for COVID-19 symptoms are not permitted inside the facility, and alternative options are available for clients picking-up medication. Symptom screenings are not causing notable delays.
- Social distancing protocols and limiting the number of individuals permitted in the building at one time. This means medication dispensing lines are primarily queued outside the building. Please consider the weather, and please dress appropriately.
- Masks must be worn inside BCCS facilities.
Thank you for your understanding and flexibility during this challenging time. It is our pleasure to continue serving you. We are all in this together.
