Brandywine Counseling’s Milford Location Now Offers Medication-Assisted Treatment for Opioid Addiction

Prevention education also offered to youth and young adults

Milford, Del. –Brandywine Counseling and Community Services (BCCS) has expanded its program to include medication-assisted treatment for opioid addiction (Methadone, Suboxone and Vivitrol), and more prevention services geared toward teens and young adults. The new offerings complement the existing BCCS outpatient services, including individual, group, and family counseling.

Beginning in April of 2018, BCCS expanded services through its Milford Treatment Center (769 E. Masten Circle, behind County Bank) to offer both medication-assisted treatment as well as prevention education programs. “Medication-assisted treatment is the most effective method to treat opioid addiction,” says Dr. Lynn Fahey, CEO of BCCS. “Prevention is key when it comes to addressing the opioid crisis facing our state and our nation. It’s critical that we offer both so we can help those struggling with addiction and warn our youth about the dangers of addiction so they can make healthy choices.”  Specifically, the BCCS Milford site offers:

  • Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) – Methadone, Suboxone, Vivitrol
  • Prevention Programs for Schools, Youth, and Young Adults
  • Behavioral Health Assessments for Adults and Adolescents
  • Outpatient Counseling (Individual, Group, and Family)
  • Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
  • Psychotherapy Services
  • Case Management
  • Reentry Services for Adults and Adolescents
