Six years ago Brandywine Counseling and Community Services (BCCS) was awarded a generous grant by The Office of Women’s Health. With this funding the Delaware Coalition for Health and Justice was able to continue it’s amazing work advocating for and supporting the needs of women engaging in sex-work and prostitution.
In order to offer extensive services that met the needs of these women, BCCS partnered with Beautiful Gate Outreach Center, Delaware Center for Justice, Survivors of Abuse in Recovery (SOAR), and Trauma Informed (TIP) Court with the Honorable Commissioner Mary McDonough to implement a program called Women in Support of Health, or WISH.
This August that funding came to an end, and we wanted to create a video that followed up with some of the women who were active in the WISH Program. We want to honor and celebrate the success of the program, which would not have been possible without the partnerships, commitment, and perseverance of all involved. Please like and share this video to spread this AMAZING message of HOPE and RECOVERY!
